Dr. Youngworth was the doctor on call on a Saturday evening. We had left a message for her after 10:30 pm and she returned our call within 10 minutes. She was able to explain what was happening with my eye & tell me what to do until I could get into see my regular doctor on Monday.
This doctor spends a lot of time with her patients, but expect to spend at LEAST 2 hours here. I bring my mom here for her regular check-ups twice a year (no changes in her vision, no existing eye issues) and always have to budget my entire afternoon for the appointments.
Just WOW. This was most definitely the worst medical experience in my LIFE. I got to my appointment at 5:00 sharp, which was exactly when my checkup was supposed to start. I expected a crisp, clean, and efficient experience that would allow me to get home without any hassle. I soon figured out that my hopes were fantasy. There were more than 5 people on staff, although none seemed to be working in particular. 4 others were waiting like me, and none of them were getting helped. 45 minutes later, I got so frustrated that I went to the front desk and demanded an explanation. The woman said, Well, Im sorry, but were running an hour late. Sorry for the inconveinience. I said, So you didnt bother to mention that little fact until now?! She said there was an eye emergency, and someone was in trouble. Call an ambulance for Gods sake! Finally, I gave up and walked away. My whole day plans had to be rescheduled because of this appointment, and now Im not really sure why I even bothered. So if you want to go to this doctor or its reccomended by your father or mother, please take into consideration that while this might be a great doctor (I really doubt it), dont expect a fast service to go along with it.
Dr. Youngworth may be a good doctor - but her staff is lame. I was referred for a routine eye exam by my M.D. I checked my insurance and found that she was on my plan. I called the office to confirm the same. I made an appt., left work early and got there only to find out that she dropped my insurance and my insuror's website and, more importantly, her staff have the wrong info. I walked out.There is NOTHING worse than having a Dr or the doctor's staff waste my time.
